What You Need To Know

Has it been at least one year since your asylum case was approved by USCIS or granted by the Court or it has been at least one year since your admission into the US on immigrant visa such as a Derivative Asylee or a refugee. You can be eligible to apply for adjustment of status (aka green card). You can also file your application for adjustment of status or green card if you got married to a US citizen or entered into the US as a fiancée of a US citizen and you married your US citizen spouse within 90 days. Visitor visas such as B-1, which is a business visa available to those involved in commercial or professional business ventures in the US, and B-2, which is available for tourism purposes, are visas obtained the most for those intending to come to the United States for a temporary business or tourism (leisure, visit family members, etc).
